Entertainment and our theatre

Below is a list of happenings in 2010, as well as estate life information

On 4th May, the Inter Beaujolais chose Domaine Baron de l'Ecluse to welcome, with the Chateau des Loges restaurant and its Chef, Mr. Frank  Lagarde, journalists from national and regional tourism reviews. Despite the weather, they were charmed by the Beaujolais wine route, the countryside and the Beaujolais welcome they were given.

From 5th to 9th May in Luxembourg, we took part in a colloquium of the European section of the International Association of Wine Lawyers, founded 11 years ago by Chantal Pégaz- Gajowka. Will wine become just a foodstuff? Will it be loose its personality with globalisation? These are important questions that help us to reinforce the ‘terroir’ and ‘original’ characteristics of our estate’s wines.

Monday 10th May: the big day! First bottling of the 2009 vintage!

Pleasant weather, though the sun is playing hide and seek, meant that we had the very best conditions for this delicate and emotion-packed operation.

The wine has been moved from the vats where it had rested for 8 months, to the bottle (respectful of the environment), for another long siesta where it will develop its roundness, strength and elegance.

Next rendezvous in a few months...

From 28th May to 3rd June:  The estate is taking part in the Rhône-Alpes Pavilion Beaujolais week at the Universal Exhibition in Shanghai
